The School Visioning Committee (SVC) – in addition to four ex-officio members composed of our Principal, Stewardship & Mission Development Coordinator, and the two parish Priests – is made up of eight appointed parishioners currently active at Christ the King. This committee is an advisory committee to the pastor and is charged to:
1) Comprehensively summarize the relationship between the parish and the school.
2) Identify and analyze the school’s current and future needs
3) Suggest to the pastor an action plan to address the needs identified in #2 above, within the framework of the parish
SVC meetings are closed and attendance outside the committee membership is by invitation only.
Recognizing the need for senior activities at Christ the King, a senior group call the “Wise and Wonderful” has been created. The main objective of this group is to offer friendship, fellowship, and support to our members. We seek to do this through social, religious, and community activities several times a year. Annual dues are $10 and this includes discounted rates for our events. There is a committee that meets from time to time to plan events and consider new ideas. Please contact Lori Dvorak for more information about this group or to sign up at [email protected] or 402-391-3606, ext. 214.
The Christ the King Educational Trust is managed by a Board of Trustees with endowed assets of $5.5 million. In addition to interest earned, many additional funds are generated from donations, estate gifts and annual fundraisers such as SPICE.
The long term goal is to grow the Trust to $15 million in order to pay one third of the operating budget of the school through interest earned. This should serve to secure the financial future of Christ the King school and enable the parish to use more of its budget on other parish needs.
The Christ the King Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body acting in an advisory capacity to the pastor of Christ the King Parish. Together with the pastor, the Pastoral Council promotes the following of Jesus, Son of God, our Savior. The Parish Pastoral Council was created by the Constitution of Christ the King Parish and accepted as of February 17, 2004.
The Finance Council is appointed by the pastor to advise on parish investments and parish expenditures. Members are responsible for assisting in establishing the annual parish budget.

Any parishioner of any parish is welcome to come to any of the hours and experience this profound structured liturgy consisting of readings, treatises, and prayers of Adoration, Thanksgiving, Reparation, and Petition.
Each hour a leader and two sets of adorers read and respond with the last segment remembering by name, each deceased Nocturnal Adorer.
Eight bands of adorers meet for one hour beginning at 10:30 PM the first Saturday of the month. The last group meets at 5:30 AM Sunday. Each band’s hour advances one hour as the year progresses.
