Love to read? Good with crazy bits of information and trivia? Book Bowl is for you! Teams of four contestants read 12 books and make up fun practice sessions througout the year in order to compete in the diocesan-wide book contest held each February.

Christ the King’s mission is to build strong Christian leaders. Our Student Council supports the development of leadership skills by organizing activities that benefit our community. Students can apply at the beginning of the school year and meetings are held every two weeks. The Council chooses a charity for the year and coordinates donations for classrooms each month. Supported charities have included: Bethlehem House, Ronald McDonald House, Sienna Francis House and the Heart Ministry. Planning Catholic Schools Week is also a highlight of Student Council! The Council plans dress-down days and events such as Lip Sync Battle, Minute to Win It and more.

The CTK Chess Club is open to all students, including beginners who wish to learn the moves and strategies of chess. Chess club is a fun way to make friends and learn sportsmanship!

Math Club is open to students in grades 5-8 who are interested in challenging math problems, problem solving conundrums, collaborating with friends and participating in math competitions.

CSI Club students will receive hands-on lab experience with: fingerprint analysis with a full set of personal prints, handwriting analysis, fiber analysis, hair analysis, facial recognition using computer generated software, artificial blood typing, and bite and dental impression lab. Students will put their experience in deductive reasoning and lab skill to the test in attempt to solve a mock crime scene in the final session. A field trip to either the Douglas County Crime Lab or Omaha Police Department Headquarters is often available.

The 5th -8th grade Robotics Club puts classroom STEM concepts to the test as students practice teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. The VEX IQ Challenge has teams of students given tasks with designing and building a robot to play with other teams in a game-based engineering challenge.

The Elementary Math Club for students in grades 1-4 will focus on a singular, fun, exciting and very challenging math concept each month.

The CTK Choir is an opportunity for students in Grades 1-8 to share musical talents at all-school masses and special events! Students learn and expand on musical skills while also learning about the role of music in the liturgy. This group meets once a week after school to rehearse but may require additional practices or performances outside of school. The choir is under the direction of Ms. Jen Cimio, assisted by Mrs. Stephanie Lovejoy.

An extracurricular reading program which combines discussion and activities with children's literature. Book titles by grade are published in the School Update monthly along with meeting times and dates. Sessions are available to students in grades K-4 and middle school and meet once per month during the school year. CTK Bookworms is organized and run by parent volunteers. More information will come out separately for Bookworms!

The school musical is held every other year and is for any students in grades 4-8. All interested students will need to prepare a short audition (singing/dancing) in order to be in the show. Students have weekly practices with one Saturday rehearsal for choreography to prepare for the show in April.
