The curriculum in first and second grade is the culmination of a foundational education introduced in the early learning program. Initial literacy skills will blossom into independent readers and confident problem solvers with a broad understanding of expectations.
Differentiated instruction is used at this level to challenge each student using a variety of methods such as mixed ability grouping, interest-based learning, project-based learning, individualized tasks, hands-on learning, and choice boards.
Faith-based activities are integrated with our core subjects of Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as Sacrament preparation.
The third and fourth grade curriculum increases students' independence and knowledge of learning across subject areas. Students develop responsibility, self reliance and independent work habits.

Middle School (5th - 8th grade) at Christ the King provides academically rigorous classes in a dynamic environment. Our teachers have advanced degrees and bring decades of experience to the classroom. Our students study Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science and Religion every day. Students utilize technology in every classroom with assignments, videos and teacher communication occurring through Google Classroom. Our Middle School is organized into eight Houses (homerooms): St. Francis de Sales, Our Lady of the Presentation, St. John Bosco, St. Joan of Arc, St. Patrick, St. Michael, St. Therese, and St. Thomas Aquinas. Although structured like homerooms, our Houses are unique in that they include a combination of students in 6th - 8th grade, and they are each responsible for various school-wide duties. Time spent in House includes lessons in study skills, social-emotional learning, community building and service to the school community. Fifth grade is a year of transition, preparing for 6th - 8th grade with similar schedules, lessons and duties with two core teachers located in the middle school wing. Their 2 Houses include only 5th grade students.
